Protein Shakes

I have recently gotten into the habit of supplementing a meal with a protein shake, and I think it is great for my body and my wallet! In the morning, I will eat something small before my workout and make a shake in a blender bottle with only water and a scoop of protein for my meal post workout. It is filling and it is super cheap in comparison to a huge meal and it keeps me full until lunchtime.

Muscle Milk (cookies and cream is my favorite right now) has been working fine for me. Any suggestions or comments about proteins to use are welcome and appreciated!!

    Thank you for this post. I have been researching to try and find some info about protein shakes. Many people say that they have that chalky taste but you sold me at cookies and cream lol. What powder are you using?

      It is called Muscle Milk. I like it a lot. I don’t think protein shakes should be your primary source of protein throughout the day, but they work well as a meal replacement if you need to watch calories for the day!

        Thank you! I will go searching now lol. I’m not looking for a primary source of protein but I am looking for alternatives because I am calorie and carb counting 🙂
